Heaven Meets Earth: The Qur’an in Light of the Sīra

For Children, 9-13 Yrs of Age

In the rich Sīra of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, key moments are linked with the verses and suras that address them and are covered in chronological order.

This class is designed for children aged 9-13 years of age. Students will discover how the divine guidance of the Qur’an and the experiences of the Prophet ﷺ and his community are linked with and responsive to one another. The goal is to develop a more holistic understanding of both the Qur’an and the Sīra.

Introduction to the Malikī School

The Mālikī Madhāb represents one of the major legal and intellectual schools that impacted and still mediates the religiosity of a large number of Muslims since its inception until our time.

This series aims at shedding light on the historical sources and trajectories, the main personalities, canonical literature and opinions that created the Madhāb of Ahl al-Madina, and sustained its central role in so many Muslim communities. In addition, we will delve into the juristic foundations and principles of this Madhāb.

Demystifying Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī

“I have seen so many scholars in the two Harams, in Ḥijāz and Irāq, and I have never seen anyone more comprehensive and deep in his knowledge than Mohammad Ibn Ismāʿīl (al-Bukhārī).”—al-Dārimī

Imām Ibn Khuzaymah said about al-Imām al-Bukhārī: “No one under heaven memorizes better the Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ and is more knowledgeable of it than Mohammad Ibn Ismāʿīl al-Bukhārī.”
And al-Imām al-Dhahabī said about his book: “[…] as for his compendium al-Ṣaḥīḥ, it is the most honorable of all the books of Islam and the most superior after the book of Allah.”

This class aims to introduce the most important aspects of Ṣahīḥ al-Bukhārī to facilitate its reading and study.

Our Families on the Precipice: A Prophetic Method of Understanding and Success


3 Saturday sessions, 10 AM–1 PM (Nov 14, 21, 28)

In this workshop, participants will explore the foundations of the Islamic Family Systems and their basic principles and manners as implemented by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his righteous followers throughout history.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have a solid understanding of how Islam systematically organizes and guides families to live in happiness and tranquility so they can be a solid pillar in human activities and relationships.
